It's Bathurst from Shift. So it may have the basic layout but is double the normal track width. Just letting you know in case that matters to you. It does matter to me (but I already have a private conversion that I have promised not to share around). It's only a matter of time before a good version with the proper features is available, afterall, rf1 was out for 2 years before the orsm track was released.

Yeah I have another version but I cannot share. The version I shared is as wide as runway 1 at heathrow over the top section but better than no bathurst at all :-)

If it is possible, me too? There is Bathurst 12h this weekend, this would be very nice.

Actually, the Shift version width looks right on to me. After watching the Bathurst 12H and then doig a few laps on this version I see no problems. Great track (the grip seems a little on the low side though- very slippy)

I also think that the version of the shift is very good. It would be great if there were more conversions from shift and the codemaster tracks.

Seriously guys? The shift track is more than DOUBLE the tracks actual width. It is pure fantasy, and on it's own AND treated as a fantasy track, it is fine. But it is not Bathurst. Bathurst is narrow and very scary. Monaco narrow, especially over the top of the mountain.

TV camera's often show the perspective wrong.

I can see both points, from some photos (and yes I haven't played it) but it does look too wide, for example the pit straight looks like it can fit 5 cars but in the real world it can only have 3 max. But some of the corners mid track look correct.

Lets not go mad about it, only a track for a game we enjoy to play. Smile

Thanks.

A buddy of mine found this version of Bathurst http://www.mediafire.com/download/9rc7mbzd8i6qqwg/Mount_Panorama_v1.2.rfcmp

It looks to be a rF1 conversion that's pretty good- it has realroad, the AI is OK (with training they'd be good) and the track looks good. Check it out and see if it has better width. If this is inappropriate, delete the link because I am guessing its origin ans poking through the .MAS files I see no clues- but it has that rF1 conversion look about it and no splash screens from any other game.

Considering the only versions released before are the Shift conversion, the scratch made one by Frank.55 (RIP) and the ORSM version, it would be safe to say this one is based on that ORSM track.

I have no problem with that link Guy, it's not like you "released" it yourself, but if the "owner" does show up, that may change.

Anyone know if this version is getting updated? aside from a couple of issues (Virtual Mirrors not working correctly, trees a bit naff) this is bloody good!

Thank you very much guybo for the link !
I think, this is conversion of ORSM Bathurst 2010 v1.5.
Which one is more accurate, I don`t know, but definitely when I have more time, I`ll do some research as far as a layout width, cambers and elevations are concerned.
